“Helping people to find and follow Jesus.”

We have found that often people want to grow as a believer but do not know how to growWe provide these Core Courses for the purpose of giving people an opportunity to start on the right path in their Christian lifeWe hope that these Core Courses will be helpful to you and they will be tools that God will use in your life for greater service and growth.

PROCESS

When a person is new to the church or new to the faith we want to put them on the right path.  So we offer four Core Courses that teach the basic principles of following God.  We believe that a disciple needs to be growing in four key areas of their Christian life.  We summarize those four areas with the following key words: MEMBERSHIP, MATURITY, MINISTRY, MISSION.  Those key words cover our basic concepts of discipleship: Membership (Conversion and Believer’s Baptism), Maturity (Prayer and Devotional Life), Ministry (Spiritual Gift Service and Compassion), Mission (Sharing Your faith and Inviting Others).

Content (knowledge of God’s Word) is the foundation of discipleship but a good discipleship program must also include the development of competence (skills), conviction (why), and character.

CORE COURSES

Core Courses are designed to teach people the right path for successful Christian living.

Teacher, which command in the law is the most important?”  Jesus answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’  This is the first and most important command.  And the second command is like the first: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’”

Matthew 22:36-39 (NCV)
